The National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET) has announced an agreement with Pearson VUE, the global leader in computer-based testing, that will expand access to critical job skills assessments across India. This agreement, which took effect December 9, 2024, will expand access to high-quality skills assessments throughout the country. It authorizes Pearson VUE as a key assessment agency to evaluate trainees who complete courses aligned to credentials approved by India's National Skills Qualification Committee (NSQC).
The agreement is a major milestone for vocational education and training in India. NCVET was established to strengthen the skills ecosystem through improved regulation and quality assurance. Partnering with Pearson VUE, which has extensive global expertise in developing and delivering technology-enabled assessments, will help NCVET achieve its mission to enhance workforce skills.
